About CityX
CityX is one app for every city. A citizen opens it and finds what their own city offers them today: what is collected, what is closed, what is on, what to watch out for.
We work with cities one problem at a time. A city tells us what its citizens ask about most, and we put that answer in the app. When it proves useful, the next one follows.
Why CityX
Urbanisation and digitalisation are two processes that do not stop. By 2050, the United Nations expects almost 70 % of humanity to live in cities, and more than 80 % of Europeans. Every new resident brings a city new tasks: waste, traffic, communication, safety. At the same time, the phone in every citizen's pocket, the apps people use every day and artificial intelligence that understands a city's data give cities a tool they never had before.
City administrations meet these tasks with too few people. More and more work moves from the state to the cities, and the challenges do not arrive one at a time but all at once. Many digital products offered to cities add work for the staff instead of taking it away.
CityX grew out of years of watching what cities really need. It is the essence of that experience: one app that carries a solution from one place to the next, so that no city has to solve a challenge as if it were happening only to them. A city describes a problem, and the module that solves it reaches citizens in an app they already have.
The project was born of enthusiasm and a very clear vision. Tomislav started it, and Luka joined very soon after. Over the years many things fell into place, and time kept confirming that the starting assumptions were right. The time ahead will show the rest: a city that uses CityX gives its citizens a digital layer that fits their lives, whatever their age or interests.
