At the CES 2023 technology event, the CTA unveiled the second edition of the Global Innovation Scorecard. This assessment of policies and practices around the world measures 40 indicators across 17 categories, including environmental quality, trade policy, broadband access, cybersecurity, and tax friendliness, to determine which countries are innovation champions, leaders, adopters, and modest innovators.
A total of 24 nations achieved the highest ranking of “innovation champion”, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Lithuania, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, as well as the European Union (EU). The scorecard also included 70 nations spanning the globe, including all members of the G20. The CTA believes that with the right policies in place, countries can unleash innovation and empower diverse communities to bring new technologies to life and to market, improving the lives of millions.
